As time seems to stand still with Saturn retrograde, the pressure continues, although destination is undeniably unguided (Mars in Gemini). We’re in constant movement to pave our way towards a goal, but like treading nonstop on a hamster wheel – the only thing we may be creating is a lot of wind. Have You Ever Met Neptune? Not Sure? In an astrology chart, there is one planet above all that tends to fog things up in such a way that it can be difficult to distinguish reality from fiction. What planet is that? Neptune. What is its theme song? Think Unsolved Mysteries. I’ll Have Another, Bar Tender! […]

Remember that board game called “Mystery Date” back from the sixties and seventies? The one where you would spend the whole game preparing for a date that could involve a trip to the beach or bowling or roller skating but you didn’t know who would come to the door until the end of the game, so you had to guess at how to prepare? This week’s astrology is a bit like that, as Neptune in Pisces is getting agitated by a couple of squares, and frankly Neptune is enough of a wild card at the best of times. No matter what outfit you pick, odds are good it’s going to be…

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license These opposites have chemistry that oozes heavy-duty passion. Mars in Taurus’ deliberate sensuality will be well-received by Moon in Scorpio, who needs connection that offers depth and longevity. Taurus’ determination will be matched by Scorpio’s obsessive energy. Once these two connect, it will be difficult to pull them apart. Mars in Taurus does nothing in half-measures. He’ll approach a new partner cautiously, because once he’s hooked, it’s difficult for him to change course. His moves are interpreted…

Credit: iofoto via iStockphoto   Last week’s article on Jupiter’s Virgo transit explored its impact on the Mutable signs. This week, we’ll look at how Jupiter in Virgo might impact love for the Earth signs. Jupiter will be trining Taurus and Capricorn, which means that Jupiter’s expansive energy will be delivered smoothly. This influence won’t trigger a major relationship event by itself, but it can make some things easier. And that’s the key word with a Jupiter trine: easy. This energy will be so harmonious that it may just slide by. But if the Earth…

This week’s forecast is a little bit like the classic philosophical question about what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object. Both the Sun and Mercury are in Gemini, which is a Sign that generally likes to keep it light and quick. Yet both the Sun and Mercury are facing their own unique challenges this week that, like it or not, will be forcing them to slow down and think things through more than they might usually like. First of all, Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini on Monday. By now you’ve probably read all about the effects that Mercury retrograde can…

Mars in Taurus’ earthy approach may offend Moon in Libra’s sensibilities, and Libra’s need for social niceties may bore Taurus. However, both signs love to love; they just approach it in different ways. Mars in Taurus is not interested in the superficial trappings of a relationship. Although he doesn’t move quickly, once he does make his move, his intentions are unmistakable. Mars in Taurus has little interest in fussing…

With Pluto in Scorpio as sole dispositor of my chart, life itself can feel like it’s run by unconscious anxiety. The only way out seems to be to continually let go, when Pluto wants to grip. Today I want to discuss a couple of invisibles. Each has bearing upon the other and they’re inseparable. First of all, there’s the great blind spot of human (un)consciousness: subjectivity. This is almost impossible to fathom, not least because its frequency is considerably higher than reason. It’s the great conundrum of science and the reasoning mindset that it cannot attune to states of being that are in excess of itself. So science cannot get to grips with love – whether personal or altruistic – except to say something banal and senseless about chemical…

The rise and rise of Rolf Harris was always somehow improbable, and though his fall has only just begun, it makes an excellent study of how easy it is to fall into the trap of misplaced self-belief. Many of my generation are reeling somewhat from the news that Rolf Harris, whose cheerful, positive and uplifting manner is somehow keyed into the DNA of our childhoods, has turned out to be a fake. And it’s not so much that he was just a fake, because fakery is commonplace, but rather that his deception was so singularly spectacular. One of the key lessons of a life of astrological study though…

With the inconjunct and semi-sextile, you have aspects that are vaguely out of tune with one another. Planets that are 150° apart are awkward, and whilst the aspect creates a desire for connection, there is an discomfort, and a vague clumsiness surrounding the association. They’re like strangers thrown together on a blind date, both hoping it will work out, but a little anxious and uneasy with the process. The semi-sextile is a little easier, it’s a superficially harmonious aspect that still suffers from some awkwardness because in both cases, these measures of astrological…

Dark, shadowy, little understood; the Hadeans, even under the most intense scrutiny, give away almost nothing of their true nature. Pluto, the best known of the Triumvirate of the Underworld, is so fundamentally dimensioned that despite countless studies and analyses, we cannot ever be sure if we have truly burrowed to his dark essence. Like the moles of his domain, we strain the blind senses to glean some of his hidden truth and esoteric meaning, but we are still never truly confident that we have understood. His magisterial shadows are too pitch. His seismic growl, too profound. This is the…

Yesterday the History Channel aired an hour-long episode of its series The Universe: Ancient Mysteries Solved that focused entirely on astrology. The episode was not so much about the history of astrology as it was on debates about the validity of the subject in modern times. I had a lot of trepidation going into it because sometimes things like this end up being a hatchet job, but I was surprised to see that they gave a much more balanced treatment of many of the arguments for and against astrology than I expected, for the most part. Of course, at the end of the day they gave more weight to…

One of the challenges with western astrology is that it requires an accurate birth time in order to calculate a complete horoscope or birth chart for a person. Astrologers often like to use the charts of celebrities as examples in order to demonstrate various astrological techniques and concepts, since their lives tend to be so well-documented, and as a result of this celebrity birth times are often highly sought-after by astrologers. While the pros and cons of using celebrity birth charts are sometimes debated by astrologers, the practice is pervasive. Birth data collection itself becomes…

It has been 28 years now since the first UAC, and there have been several other successful conferences since then, so it is interesting to see how it all got started. Both of these congregated over the West Coast as shown in the astro-locality map below. My idea was that these two alignments would work together, but in actuality the one seemed to block the other. The wet weather was experienced over the Southwestern states over Arizona, New Mexico, and…

In a long-range weather forecast posted last December 13th, I gave my take on the noteworthy weather that I thought would affect the East and West Coasts between the 19th and 25th of January. Let’s see what happened. East CoastMy forecast relied heavily on the October 23rd 2014 solar eclipse which was now being activated and previously had produced, according to astro-meteorology, a Nor’easter over the U.S. Northeast and New England. One scenario I suggested was a low pressure area over the Carolinas that would then strengthen and move northward to the Northeast and New England…

    8 May 2015 | 10:41 am
“10 months sober, I must admit – Just because you’re clean don’t mean you don’t miss it.” A few years ago, I made the agonizing decision to end a long friendship that had been very important to me. Why? Because just about every time I spoke with this friend, my heart hurt. He was beating me up with words, delivering poison darts straight to my heart, emails that rendered me literally sick for days. The friendship that once saved my life had become more toxic than I could bear anymore. It was 2011. I had just gotten married and made a fresh start in life. Transit Pluto was…
  • What does Astrology have to do with Architecture?

    Molly Gauthier
    7 May 2015 | 3:10 pm
Molly’s Astrology received a mention in a new book about sustainable architecture! That’s cool, you say. But why? What does astrology have to do with architecture? This book’s central focus is Earthships, which are funky, almost Tatooine-esque homes built largely of recycled materials. The author, my dear friend Rachel, draws on her training in architecture, as well as her own research, field work in archaeology and work in historic preservation. In the book, she examines the original 1970s “one size fits all” design of the Earthship, addresses problems in the…

    16 Apr 2015 | 9:14 am
This is a fun project, highly recommended for the New Moon in Aries! Which happens THIS Saturday, April 18, around 1 p.m. Mountain Time. You have two days after that moment to complete your treasure map. A treasure map is a simple glue-and-scissors collage like many of us did in grade school. It’s a tool to help you tap into your desires, what you really want, using the power of the Aries New Moon to turbo-charge your intentions for the future. This is my treasure map from 2010. As you can see, material success is a major theme, as is the desire for happiness, peace, and compassion, and…

Mars square Saturn In a nutshell: I have been suboptimal lately. I had gotten used to feeling kind of awesome, so it’s a bummer. I think it comes down to 2 things: Awful astrology (a stress aspect between Mars and Saturn which strongly impacts my birth chart), and the brand of Adrenal Cortex Extract I’m taking. What I’m on now is cheap stuff from Swanson’s. It’s not helping as much as the pricier Everything Spectrum ACE that I was on for 4 months before. I am super fatigued and having trouble concentrating. So I ordered some more of the good stuff. It isn’t cheap, but $60…

Here it comes, my friends! Another long post about my health. A few readers have asked how I am doing since I first posted about my illness back in March. I am sorry I have not kept you all in the loop. This illness and its treatment are not part of the medical paradigm that most people are familiar with. Treatment is not what most of us are used to. It’s not prescription drugs, surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy. It’s not “do what the doctor says.” I have had to educate myself. As my own doctor, I am healing myself using food, supplements, and home remedies. There…

For the past couple of years I have been preparing to hang out my shingle as an internet marketing consultant. A while back, I went to an evening seminar presented by a marketing consultant about branding archetypes. His discussion was based on Pearson’s work. It was immediately apparent to me that the archetypes he was referring to corresponded to the signs of the zodiac. I’ve been studying…

  • New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Pisces, March 20th 2015

    Barbara
    19 Mar 2015 | 4:13 pm
To me a new moon and solar eclipse is a powerful symbol of union, blending and alignment - the sun and moon meeting together in the skies in perfectly balanced relationship. Pisces energy is about surrender; not in defeat or submission, but in the spiritual sense – or in other words, in the Beatles sense of ‘let it be’ or the ‘Frozen’ sense of ‘let it go’ – it’s surrender to who you really are, surrender to empowerment, recognising the inner spirit and soul energy, and going with the flow of life through you; allowing what is no longer you to dissolve and flow away. It's…

Eve and the Serpent by John Dickson Batten The gardens froth blossom. Petals flake the lawns. Now the very first bud of apple and pear swell. The birds peck green cherries. It’s Taurus’ month and Eden. Taurus’ partner across the Zodiac, Scorpio, sometimes signified by the snake. This New Moon is free and easy, not overtly aspected, except that it takes place on the fixed star of snake-haired Medusa, Algol. Medusa is the monster, once priestess of Athena, raped in the temple by the god of the sea Poseidon and punished for that violation by an eternity of horror. Her gaze…

Detail from the Toilet of Venus by Francois Boucher You could say that the promise of romance keeps astrologers in work. Getting your love right — and that might mean lifelong celibacy, a series of mad flings or a nice, cosy 40-year marriage — is one of the cornerstones of living the “good” life. And creating that good life is the reason we study astrology. I was reminded of this when reading Jessica Shepherd’s books Karmic Mates and Venus Signs, both of which are essential reading for the love-struck, the love-ravaged or the lovelorn. If you have a strong…

In Arabic, Egyptian Arabic anyway, when you want to describe someone as really beautiful, you say she is like the Moon, or she has a face like the Moon. (How unlike “moonface” in English). When Venus is in the sign of the Moon, two of the most feminine energies in astrology are blended; these energies lure you in. It’s notable that currently two of the world’s “most beautiful women” not only share Venus in Cancer, but for each of them, the planet of beauty is placed exactly on an angle of the chart. As you know, the purpose of these posts on Venus through…

Paul McCartney, Mercury Rx in Gemini sings The Fool on the Hill, a song which seems to describe this Mercury station perfectly. The little god of prestidigitation is standing perfectly still. For a moment in time, he looks both ways: into the future and into the past. Then he starts to go backwards. Think of how odd it looks in a movie when the broken glass and water on the floor magically swooshes up and reforms. The film is running backwards. April
    16 May 2015 | 2:20 pm
I bought a fancy glass bottle of pancake syrup at the supermarket. When I got home, I tried to gather up too many of the grocery bags at once instead of simply making a second trip from the car to the house. Naturally, I dropped one of the bags—and of course, it was the one that contained the bottle of syrup, which smashed, covering everything else in a fine layer of goo. A shard of broken glass tore a small hole in the bag, and as I carried it into the house, I left a trail of organic Canadian maple goodness along the sidewalk, onto the porch, and across the length of the living room and…

If you list every planet, the North Node, and the Ascendant and Midheaven in degree order, and note the aspect it will receive from the transiting planet, you can see at a glance how easy or difficult this transit is likely to be for you personally. Every transiting planet aspects these points in the same order, every time, though the aspects are different depending on its sign. For example: Great Britain’s Prince William is a guy…

After a week and a half, I began easing back into some easy, administrative tasks. But real work, something like writing this essay, is still only barely doable. I hadn’t just been working hard—I’d let work take over my life. Without it, a lot of empty space has opened up in my days. It’s been instructive, observing…

    18 May 2015 | 5:01 am
Mercury difficulties came early this year with a challenging square from the planet Saturn, the ruler of challenges, delays and disappointments.  Saturn creates blocks and forces us to find a pathway around obstacles – it inspires determination and strength to overcome endurance, but also supreme frustration. This Mercury/Saturn square was embedded in the chart for the Scorpio Full Moon on the 3rd. For the first two weeks of May as Mercury’s motion begins to slow in preparation for its change of direction we saw communication begin to become more confused and a greater need to turn…
  • Taurus New Moon of power and majesty, May 18th

    Lynn Hayes
    17 May 2015 | 5:02 am
In the astrological pantheon, the zodiac signs are either cardinal (initiation), fixed (control) or mutable (adaptable).  The cardinal signs initiate and inspire action and leadership, the fixed signs ground and intensify, and the mutable signs disseminate and provide a way to move into the next cycle. Taurus is one of those fixed signs that needs a high level of control and power, and the New Moon in Taurus urges us to ground and find stability in the midst of fluidity.  Under this combination of energies the grounding of the Taurus New Moon will offer a basis from which to experience the…
  • Cross-Quarter Beltane power festival is May 5th

    Lynn Hayes
    3 May 2015 | 4:00 am
While many of your friends may be celebrating Beltane on May 1st as May Day, the actual Beltane festival is one of the “cross-quarter” days – the midpoint between the Equinoxes and Solstices. These cross-quarter days of the ancient Celtic Wheel of the Year actually occur at the 15 degree point of the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius and are thought to be gates of power. While many of your friends may be celebrating Beltane on May 1st as May Day, the actual Beltane festival is one of the “cross-quarter” days – the midpoint between the…
  • Scorpio Full Moon May 2015: the Cauldron of Transformation

    Lynn Hayes
    2 May 2015 | 3:46 am
Art by Jennifer Shearer Once the Moon enters Scorpio late on May 2nd it will begin to form the Full Moon opposition formation against the Taurus Sun, stimulating the beginning of the lunar experience. All Full Moons are formed by a polarity between the Sun in one sign balanced against the Moon in the opposite sign. Each opposing pair is a cycle of energy that flows from one sign to the other, each sign containing what the other lacks. Scorpio and Taurus are both fixed signs, both are highly personal signs with one being ruled by Mars (Scorpio) and one by Venus (Taurus). Both are concerned…

    22 May 2015 | 10:32 pm
I celebrated my Secondary Progressed Moon moving into Sagittarius (and conjoining my Natal South Node on the 7thHouse cusp) with an adventure holiday in Borneo. What a wild ride! I’m a cautious Capricorn but found myself challenged by all sorts of daring activities I never thought I would have the guts to do. The air is full of mayfly, flying upstream to lay their eggsTrekking uphill on narrow slippery paths through wild jungles full of angry fire ants, hungry leeches and (bonus) truly wild orangutan; wading up to my chest through rivers fully clothed; cooling off in waterfalls…

So my beloved and I have just enjoyed our seventh wedding anniversary. To celebrate, we went to see one of our favourite bands and the occasion was marked with a couple of intriguing coincidences. My husband discovered that a couple of his friends - a couple - were attending the gig so we arranged to meet for a drink beforehand and as soon as they walked through the door I realised I hadn’t seen one of them since our wedding. Then, when we arrived at the venue, I spotted a guy at the back of the room on his own looking a bit out of place. I looked and then I looked again. It was who I…
  • Jupiter in Leo - The Iraq Connection

    Mandi Lockley
    18 Aug 2014 | 6:16 am
Jupiter in Leo is an important trigger, a crucial point in the Jupiter cycle for the modern history of Iraq and a transit to watch closely. Iraq is awash with Lion symbolism. The Desert Lion (Shakir Wahiyib, the public face of Islamic State); The Lion of Babylon (Iraqi tank used during the 1991 War); the other Lion of Babylon (representing the King of Babylon and depicted at the Ishtar Gate to the ancient city, now part of Iraq) and of course, the live lions Saddam Hussein kept at his palace. Also, it seems that Jupiter's transit of Leo is incredibly relevant to modern day…

It’s also great for creative expression and acts of immense generosity, so long as there's an appreciative audience. Want some clues to how Jupiter in Leo might affect you? Look to…

  • Radical Reposts: The Planets -- Uranus

    Joyce Mason
    20 May 2015 | 4:01 am
2015 by Joyce Mason Have you ever asked people who speak astrology to guess the main features of your chart, just from observing you, before you tell them the facts? This can be very revealing! For example, people usually think I have an emphasis of planets in Aquarius and Sag. They say I’m fiery, when Fire is actually my weakest element. What they’re sensing is my Sun square to Uranus and my overemphasized Jupiter. (Being overemphasis itself, a strong Jupiter is always obvious.) My Astro-guessers are usually shocked to find out that I’m a Triple Earth. The sense of fire comes from…
  • Radical Reposts: The Planets -- The Bridge to the Outers (Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto)

    Joyce Mason
    18 May 2015 | 7:53 am
Because it orbits beyond Saturnian, I consider Chiron both the bridge to the outer planets and an outer planet itself. In the last post on Chiron, I re-presented most of the major articles on Chiron on this blog with an exception. There are two Chiron articles in the Outerplanetary (Extraordinary) People series of five articles. The OPP series has been one of my most popular sets of articles, printed and reprinted on paper and online in various places for over 20 years. While the set contains insights on all of the outers or PUNCs as I call them for Plutonian, Uranian, Neptunian and Chironic:…

That split couldn’t be more symbolic, as we often heal our dualities and see them for what they really are while laughing. Here’s another major sampling of what’s on The Radical Virgo about Chiron. Since Chiron is my astrological specialty, The Radical Virgo is often considered “a Chiron blog.”More on Chiron’s MeaningChiron and Chi (08-Jun-11)Chiron begins with the letters “chi,”…

The purpose of this article is to reveal the importance of educational astrology (astrologie) in the context of the society nowadays. Although it is not a separate branch of astrology but rather a specific part of it, it has a special importance in guiding your child and in the choices that a child makes or even a mature person that is at a standstill in his life.Children and choicesAlthough children know from a very young age what they want to be when they’ll grow up, the outside influences tend to cover those inspirations that although come to a young age are the most authentic. • The verbs and their explanation for: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo

    7 Aug 2014 | 6:51 am
Each of the zodiac signs are characterized by a certain verb, an action that is specific to them. We will refer to a zodiac sign as an archetypal energy that is modulated in relation with each planet (we're not only referring to those with the Sun in a certain sign).Beyond the common understanding, these verbs have a profound meaning, and also a life lesson to learn:Aries: I initiate Those with Aries energy are known to have initiative, to be courageous, and to take risks (not many of them well thought about). They come with the energy of new beginnings having to…
  • Mars’s “alignment” with Earth and the Sun - Astrologer Perspective

    5 May 2014 | 9:42 am
There is a huge media campaign regarding Mars’s “alignment” with Earth and the Sun.Actually this event happens once every two years and two moths (an average of 780 days), when astrologically Mars is opposite to the Sun, and astronomically, Earth is situated exactly between the Sun and Mars. The idea is that at these moments Mars is as closest to Earth as possible in the two years period, but its distance varies quite much on a period of 15 years.Earth and Mars actually got the closest possible in the past 60.000 years in 2003, and in 2007 and 2010 it was closer than it is right now.So…

If Michael Jackson would have lived, today he would have turned 55 years. I looked over his natal birth chart , out of curiosity and  I understood very quickly why things were so complicated for him.Venus in Leo,  reveals the love with which he was interacting with the fans,  the conjunction of Venus with Uranus shows us why he was extravagant and rebel in relationships with others , and the squares which sends to Mars indicates inner conflict, difficulty in expressing anger and the tendency to set limits on defense. This explains his need of  excessive…

Explaining to a friend about sharing a room during a silent meditation retreat, she wondered how three people could share space together without talking. Simple, I answered. We agreed in advance to cooperate and not invade each other’s space. No language is needed once you have that agreement. If I planned to shower and someone was in the shower, I simply showered at another time. No nasty looks. No snide comments. During a retreat, of course, you have this option. Daily life may not be so accommodating. If I compare the cooperation during a silent retreat compared to, say, my current…

My comrade-in-astrology has been telling me that when Jupiter transits Virgo from August 2015 to September 2016, the Pluto/Uranus in Virgo generation is going to finally arrive on the public stage in a blaze of glory (or something like that). This is a generation born between 1957 and 1972. During that time Uranus tagged along for seven years and for a couple years Saturn opposed the conjunction in Pisces. If you want to know what this represents, think “hippie counter culture” which was formed by Pluto in Leo (“Me Generation”) folk who were under the influence of…

Aren’t all basketball players free? Isn’t this the land of freedom? No time to study this right now, so let’s move on. As a “free agent,” James did what many a northern climate resident does –…

Buddhism speaks of disillusionment as a good thing, seeing through the veil of illusion. According to the Art of Dharma site: This whole world is a trick. It’s a fantasy land, a place to get lost in and a place where there are tricks within tricks. Beings get fooled by these tricks all the time. If the world is a trick, what is the world’s greatest method to convey this trick but television?

And don’t get all high and mighty on me and be like, “Oh I love myself. I am priceless, honey!” Not if you allow someone to make a critical comment about your work or your hair or your mode of transportation and then feel some sort of way about it for hours or days or weeks to come. Nine of Swords Mars squares Neptune today and may have you wondering what is real and what is all in your head. The Nine of Swords is sometimes referred to as the “nightmare” card, due to its association with overblown panic and fear. Often these are self-imposed: as in having gotten into a predicament of our own doing and now being forced to deal with the consequences. There’s sometimes a sense of impending doom associated with this card, also self-created. You may be feeling a bit more anxious and unsure of yourself or have a hard maintaining your footing. Whatever it is, it’s going to feel like a loss, and may bring with it a period of mourning. The Death card can be frightening, as it promises both loss and change — two of the scariest notions that any of us are ever faced with. But the Venus / Pluto opposition says that what…

In continuation to my previous article on Yogas: Slokas 14 to 18 of Phaladeepika mentions about Yogas based upon mutual disposition of Sun, Moon and Jupiter. Mahabhagya Yoga: This yoga is defined separately for both male and female as per which the following four conditions should be addressed in the chart of a male: The birth should be falling in daytime, specifically between the Sunrise and Sunset. The Ascendant sign (Lagna rashi) should be odd i.e. the birth should be falling in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius or Aquarius Ascendant. The Sun should be placed in odd signs (Aries,…

In vedic astrology, the term “Yoga” implies a specific combination and/or disposition of planets which are supposed to generate specific results for the nativity. And, these Yogas can be good as well as bad; for example, there are good yogas like Dhana yogas (related to Wealth) or Raj Yogas (related to Power and Authority) Yogas; and, there are bad Yogas like Daridra Yoga (Poverty). Sometimes, one may get confused or delighted when the astrologer, whom he or she is consulting, comes up with such terminology like, “there is a Dardira Yoga in your horoscope” or like, “you are having a…

TarotJan 26Why Do We Use Tarot Card Spreads?Nearly all tarot readers use particular layouts or ‘spreads’. A spread is a pattern, similar to the way that playing cards are laid out in, say, a game of solitaire. Without the layout, the game wouldn’t work very well. Of course we don’t have to have a spread; the cards can be just turned over one by one and read right off the cuff. Many readers do that and wouldn’t be comfortable any other way. However, using spreads can add several extra dimensions to the reading. Share

A strong desire builds. And you are feeling compelled to pursue your goal. But do you have the emotional strength to not allow your desires to consume you? Such strength is the sign of true staying power and lasting success. It would be wise now to cautiously explore your options prior to setting the wheels in motion. A concept to which you are clinging too tightly can cause hindrance. Due to principle, you may wish to clear away the obstruction in your path with one fell swoop. But, you would be better served by patience and emotional fortitude. Please trust that one step at a time will get…

It would seem the Universe is asking you to cultivate the perfect balance between strength of will and humility. Without individual strength, then your life experience would make you feel unbelievably overwhelmed. But, even the strongest and wisest sometimes need a little bit of guidance. Your strength of spirit will be tested today. But, that is no reason to believe that you are somehow in possession of faulty information. The insight you are receiving is solid. But your approach is chaotic and frustrated. Allow a sense of equipoise to be restored and you will be unstoppable!   Please…

When we shed our skin due to a transformation, it is natural to feel irritable. The process involves confrontation and subsequent release. But the effect is one that leaves you purified and more powerful. There is much wisdom that you have gained through a recent challenge. Whilst you may be tempted to act on principle, you should at least check to see if a degree of obstinacy is involved. With wisdom comes power, with power responsibility. And responsibility requires awareness. An opportunity is opening to you, but you must act with wisdom in order to avail yourself of the bounty it has to…

  • I want a ‘Happy Life’

    Sunita Chabra
    18 May 2015 | 10:45 pm
Our life’s journey begins when we are born and ends with death (we think of death as something that happens to others not for ourselves) and time/ life span we get is a big mystery. Making our life journey 'happy' every single day is worthwhile and this is my thought for writing this blog post. As an astrologer, I get a chance to meet so many people and my personal observation is that today we are so lost in our wants and desires that we forget to enjoy and smile each day. Seems strange to say, but most of us miss out on half (or maybe all) the fun in life that way. On this planet earth,…

May 2014 monthly forecastARIES: Planet Mars rules over your sign. The month of May and possibly June are probably the most significant and may be challenging months of this year for you. Please, Aries mark 4th through 31st, on your calendar and step back in this tricky period. I would like to give caution; things can get a little emotionally heated for you in second half of the month. There could be tension, anxiety and sudden outbursts especially mark the date-15th May with red circle on your calendar. Avoid making important financial and career decisions during this period. The post Moon phases meditations: your emotional rhythms appeared first on - I’ve been drawn to meditation since my early twenties but over the years my understanding of it has changed. When I was young meditation was a mysterious phenomenon only accessible to the initiated, those much wiser and more enlightened than I. Then, after my first ten-day Vipassana course, I began to see meditation as something we can all experience, but never-the-less bounded by a system of methods and rules. Now, years later and with a little more experience under my belt, I realise meditation is nothing…

The New Moon in Taurus  steadies our emotions and is a good time for grounding ourselves and reconnecting with the Earth and our physical bodies. The post Full moon in Scorpio: intense emotional reactions appeared first on - The Full Moon in Scorpio will be exact just before midnight on the 3rd May 2015. With the Sun in earthy Taurus this Full Moon brings into play the polarity between material security and safety on the one hand (Taurus) and the deep, uncharted depths and darkness that lie beneath what we see on the surface of our reality (Scorpio). The Moon rules our emotions and although we may not always see it on the surface Scorpio is a very emotional creature indeed! This is perhaps why the Moon is said to be in its fall in…
